History

Born in 1986 Business Car Hire was the brainchild of two experienced executive mini cab drivers, Brian Bernstein and John Lucas. They had over 10 years of experience in the field and due to the exceptional customer service they offered found themselves regularly requested by clients.

They soon saw a gap in the market for passengers wishing to travel in comfort with a polite and knowledgeable driver and one who would go the extra mile (no pun intended) but who offered such quality as standard. This coincided with the advent of mobile phones which resulted in Brian and John receiving bookings direct from a number of clients, many of whom still travel with us today.

John left the partnership in the early 1990s and Brian was joined by his son, Andrew to continue the business. This father and son duo still run the business today with Brian administrating and Andrew spending much of his time on the road meeting clients and drivers to ensure that company standards are maintained.

Their first big break came in 1994 when they successfully landed a contract to drive the directors and senior managers of the world’s largest pharmaceutical company. This contract is still in place today having taken the business from 2 to 18 drivers almost overnight. The client base continues to grow and includes Event Management companies, the various aspects of the Entertainment Industries, tourism, property development, the oil industry and many others, all who demand the utmost of discretion and professionalism.

Brian, Andrew or their logistic manager (Brian) are available 24 hours a day ensuring the service continues to run efficiently.
